Now That Evil Has Rights
Evil generation
Mockers of mankind,
Crouching, debauched,
Mimics of poverty.
Shout with your high strident
Voices.
Shout with joy,
Now that evil has rights.
Gone now are the days
When a man’s sins,
Yes sins, were drug
Into open, purging, sunlight,
Now that evil has rights.
Put on your sack cloth
Pour ashes upon your head
Make sure you stand elevated
And cry loudly,
“Foul!,”
When at last government
Wields its sword.
A child now returns to his
Drunk and drug drenched mother,
Now that evil has rights.
A woman is raped and
Her soul draped on the four
Corners of the country
Now that evil has rights.
A teacher, backed into a corner
Comes out swinging, while
The children shout “she broke
The law.”
No, no, children there is no law
Now that evil has rights.
Turn away now, all knowing,
All seeing, uncaring,
Generation.
But gaze with glee upon the smoldering
Creation
Now evil, with all the rights.
